BS Biology plants more trees

With the theme “Our plant, Our future” BS Biology students, 4 BS Biolology staff and 1 DENR staff conducted a team building lecture, coastal clean-up and tree planting activity at RSU-Agpudlos, San Andres, Romblon last September 30,  2011.

One of the speakers, Forester Gerardo Sabigan from DENR lectured “Tree Physiology and the Pertinent Laws” while Professor  Thomas Faminial, a CAS faculty member talked about “Deforestation and its effect to the Environment.”

After the lectures, students are given a time to prepare themselves for tree planting which commenced at exactly 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Professor Edgardo Fadallan, director of RSU-Agpudlos, spearheaded the tree planting activity together with Ms. Gerly Famero, Mr. Rejie Fronda and Mr. Renante Marceno.

In the evening, a team building activity was held and facilitated by Vans Fontamillas.

On the second day,students and staffs conducted a coastal clean up.

The said activity was conducted in accordance with the National Greening Program of President Nonoy Aquino.
